Asso. Prof. Dr. Nakao Nomura, Director of Division of International Exchange Support and Ms. Mayu Komatsuzaki, University International Administrator, AIMS Program of University of Tsukuba, Japan conducted a visit to the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture on November 4, 2023, to open more internationalization possibilities with the University.
The visiting professors met with the University President D. Alberto N. Naperi and discussed what the University of Tsukuba has to offer in a possible collaboration. The faculty of Department of Food Science (DFS) with their International Relations Coordinator, Prof. Rocelyn Imperial, and the Director of International Relations, Dr. Cherry Love Montales, also presented internationalization activities that the University of Tsukuba can complement.
After the fruitful discussion, the activity proceeded with a study tour. The visiting professors accompanied by the DFS faculty visited the Organic Agriculture Center, Complementary Food Processing Laboratory, CBSUA Dormitory, Agri-ville, and the Food Testing Laboratory. During the visit, they met and discussed with the Centersβ Directors. This study tour allowed the visiting professors to evaluate and see available facilities that are significant in future exchange student activities.
Capping off the visit is a meeting with the alumni of the AIMS program at CBSUA, where an exchange of stories and experiences took place.
