On April 4, 2022, Municipal Local Government Unit of Pasacao in partnership with the CBSUA university together with the Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc. (PSFI), the Department of Environment and Natural Resources -CENRO Sipocot, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region V, the Mangrove Growers Association (MANGRAS), the Bgy. Local Government Units of Balogo, San Cirilo , and Sta. Rosa Del Norte joined forces for the Pasacao Riversine Intertidal Mangrove Esplanade (PRIME) Project. The team identified the areas of responsibilities and collaboration in a meeting last March 31, 2022 at the Sangguniang Office in Pasacao.
The role of CBSUA in the project is to conduct research and information literacy campaign on the mangroves and the environment through its coordinator, Ms. Sheryl N. San Andres, whose work on mangroves and extension services has helped Bgy. Balogo and other coastal areas of Pasacao. The aim of the project is to develop the mangrove area along the Balogo-Sta. Rosa del Norte-San Cirilo junction into an esplanade which will promote aesthetic appreciation of the mangroves, economic activities in the community, promotion of the ecological services of the mangroves and scientific information on the mangroves.
