ESS, CRC HOLD 2ND QUARTER TREE PARENTING, NURTURING ACTIVITY AT BONCAO, CURRY, PILI, CAMARINES SUR

The Environmental Science Society, in collaboration with the CBSUA – Resilience Center and with the active participation and support from the Metro Naga Water District (MNWD), Mount Isarog Guardians (MIGS) and the Philippine Army, successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Tree Parenting and Nurturing Activity last April 23, 2022 Boncao, Curry, Pili, Camarines Sur. Prof. Philip N. Talay – Director of CBSUA – Resilience Center, Marilyn A. Siguenza, adviser of Environmental Science Society, Prof. Gertrudis Girlie Jaucian, Program Chairperson of BS Environmental Science, Mr. Nasser O. Posada – faculty of BS Environmental Science, and Mr. Rommel Catura, President of Environmental Science Society, headed the continues commitment to the activity.
The participants gathered in front of the CBSUA – Administrative Building according to the consent arrival time and fill out the attendance form. At exactly 7:30 am, the participants proceeded at the military trucks. Upon arrival to the site, Prof. Gertrudis Girlie Jaucian and Prof. Philip N. Talay do the honored for the short opening program and introduce the head of the Mount Isarog Guardians (MIGS). They had a short talk containing basic information on tree planting. After a few minutes of steepest expedition, we finally reached the place and plant more trees. Mr. Rommel B. Catura and Prof. Philip N. Talay spearheaded the post-evaluation activity to assess the learnings, experiences, and commitment to the next activities to be conducted. We felt very exhausted yet it was a fulfilling experience.
