The University Resilience Center and Extension Services Division met with the Federation of Associations for Communities and Children’s Empowerment Inc. (FACE, Inc.) for future collaboration in the areas of Child protection with focus on DRRM and CCA on December 2, 2022.
FACE, Inc. is a local partner of ChildFund in Bicol and is advocating child protection (CP), adolescent sexuality and reproductive health (ASRH), support to Early childhood care and development (ECCD) and family preparedness activities. Sharing the same goals with the university in building resilient and sustainable communities, the parties met to discuss possible areas of collaboration. The meeting was attended by face program manager Jobeth E. Jerao and program officer Ian Cliff Z. Guzman, Dr. Philip Talay, Director of Resilience Center, and Dr. Vladimir Foronda, director of ESD. The meeting set the target for 2023 in helping protect children thru DRRM and CCA. Both parties look forward for the signing of MOA to officially seal the collaboration.
