PAMANTASAN NG LUNGSOD NG SAN PABLO BENCHMARKS CBSUA’S BEST PRACTICES ON GAD

On November 16, 2023, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo (PLSP) conducted a benchmarking activity on CBSUA’s best practices, operations, and programs on Gender and Development in instruction, research, extension, and innovation.

Present in the activity are Dr. Glenn Redecilla, the Director of Gender and Development of CBSUA, and the GAD coordinators of the other campuses. The Director of the Center for Gender Equality and Development of PLSP, MS. Teofila Azela P. Garcia, presented their delegation to the CBSUA community.

Dr. Marilyn Balderas, a professor at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, represented the VP for Research and Innovations, Dr. Ramona Isabel Ramirez, in presenting the university’s GAD mainstreaming in research. Subsequently, Dr. Melinda Pan, the Dean of the College of Education, represented Dr. Kennedy Beltran, the Director of the Curriculum and Instruction Division, in discussing GAD mainstreaming in the curriculum. Lastly, Dr. Vladimir Foronda, the Director of the Extension Services Division shared the division’s initiatives in promoting and integrating GAD in their extension services.

The programme then proceeded with the open forum where the delegation from the PLSP voiced out their questions and concerns on the matter. This opened opportunities for sharing and further discussion.

Mr. Kurt Cyrus John B. Cabral, the Asst. Director of the Center for Gender Equality and Development extended his words of gratitude to the university for accommodating the delegation even in short notice. In reply, Dr. Glenn Redecilla assured the delegation of their support and continual assistance toward the achievement of their GAD goals.
