CBSUA, DAGAM FARM SEAL PARTNERSHIP IN CEREMONIAL MOU SIGNING

Formalizing the partnership between the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture and Dagam Farm of South Korea, a Ceremonial Memorandum Signing Program was held on November 21, 2023, at the Alvaro Rabina Hall.

The delegation of Dagam Farm consisted of Meister Kang Chang Goog, CEO of Dagam Farm, South Korea; Mr. Kim Jong Haek, Director of Agriculture, Changwon City, SK; Engr. Annelin Paming, Consultant, Agri-Tech International Exchange; Ms. Jung Myeongseo, Representative (SK), Dagam Farm; Mr. Kim Seunghyun, Representative (SK), Dagam Farm; and Engr. Julian Martinez Representative (Philippines), Dagam Farm.

Dr. Emerson Bergonio, the VP for Academic Affairs welcomed everyone with his opening message. Dr. Christopher B. Dacer, the Director for Institutional Linkages and Special Projects, represented Dr. Cesar Armando Camba, the VP for Business and External Affairs, in presenting the Programme Rationale of the activity.

Engr. Annelin Paming provided a short discussion about the Dagam farm, particularly its history and its operations. Subsequently, Meister Kang Chang Goog expressed his impression of CBSUA and how it would impact the partnership with his farm. In reply, Dr. Alberto Naperi, the University President, assured Meister Kang of his full support and even pledged to send faculty and students in the first quarter of the following year.

This was then followed by the Ceremonial Signing of the MOU. The Dean of CEFS, Engr. Karen Mae Lim, extended her gratitude to the officials of Dagam Farm and the officials of CBSUA for making the collaboration possible.

The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering under the College of Engineering and Food Science, spearheaded the activity. This is to intensify the University’s international partnerships to provide the students and faculty with up-to-date skills and knowledge and cross-cultural exposure. Moreover, this partnership opens opportunities for collaborative training and knowledge transfer relationships, student internship and faculty industry immersion programs, and other areas of collaboration. |𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘳.
