CBSUA INSPIRES FRESHMEN, TRANSFEREES TO BE AGENTS FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE IN ORSEM 2024

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) warmly welcomed its new batch of students through the SIRANG: Orientation-Seminar held from August 14 to 16, 2024, across its four campuses in the province.

With the theme “Stateans Be the Change! Building and Leading a Sustainable Future Through Action,” the three-day event, organized by the Office of Student Affairs Guidance and Counseling Unit (OSAS-GCU), aimed to equip freshmen and transferees with the necessary knowledge and motivation to become active participants in creating a sustainable world.

The orientation seminars were held simultaneously across the university’s four campuses. Invited speakers provided freshmen and transferees with essential insights about the university, its student services, and key officials, as well as the rules and regulations they need to follow. Additionally, these speakers shared invaluable lessons on how Stateans can take the lead in building a sustainable future.

To heighten the excitement, each campus hosted unique activities that engaged students. At the Pili Campus, the “Abrasa” event focused on traditional Filipino games, Laro ng Lahi. The Sipocot Campus kicked off with a parade, followed by a Zumba session, and a lively foam party. Meanwhile, both the Pasacao and Calabanga Campuses highlighted the talents of the Stateans, with performing groups captivating the audience with their dynamic performances.

The ORSEM not only serves as a way to welcome freshmen and transferees to the university system, but it also lays the foundation for their career goals, ultimately preparing them to become agents for a sustainable future. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘴.
