On November 25, 2023, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) – Calabanga Campus, in partnership with the Angat Buhay Foundation, reached a milestone with the inauguration of the Angat Buhay dormitory, a purpose-built accommodation facility designed to enhance the academic experience of the students.

The dormitory, strategically situated to cater to the needs of students hailing from distant locales, aligns with the broader mission of Angat Buhay to alleviate logistical challenges associated with daily commutes. The provision of free dormitories not only eases the burden of travel but also affords students more focused study time.

In Atty. Leni Robredo’s Instagram post, the Chairperson of the Angat Buhay Foundation thanked the collaborative efforts of key stakeholders. Noteworthy contributors include Ms. Ces Tan, the project’s financial backer; Ar. Peach Buencamino, responsible for overseeing construction; Ms. Ivy Almario and Ms. Cynthia Almario, lending their expertise to interior design; Mrs. Shirley Sanders and Mr. Ronnie Traballo, instrumental in landscaping; Mr. Hiren H. Mirchandani and Masflex, providers of kitchen and bedroom equipment; Uratex, contributing mattresses, tables, and chairs; Wilcon Depot Naga, supplier of construction materials; Nippon Paint; Landmark, facilitating beddings; and Yeye, the creative force behind the aesthetically pleasing wall murals.

Atty. Dominador Faurillo, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, graced the occasion along with other university officials. Furthermore, recognition is given to Fr. Jess of the Holy Cross Parish of Manguiring, who officiated the dorm’s blessing, and the presence of Camarines Sur 3rd District Rep. Gabby Bordado during the inauguration.

CBSUA community expresses deep appreciation to the Angat Buhay Foundation and Atty. Leni Robredo for their dedicated efforts in serving the students of Bicol.
