On April 11, 2024, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture was subjected to a joint monitoring and evaluation visit by the CHED Technical Committee (CHED-TC) of the CHED Central Office, and the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) of CHED RO V, in connection with its proposal to offer the Master of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering.
The visit evaluated the University’s compliance with the standards and guidelines set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the MS Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Program. The CHED Technical Committee (CHED-TC) and the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) reviewed the University’s curriculum, faculty qualifications, facilities, and other resources to ensure that they meet the program’s requirements.
The University’s Graduate School and the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering spearheaded the activity, providing the CHED Technical Committee (CHED-TC) and the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) with the necessary documents, reports, and presentations to facilitate the evaluation process.
The joint monitoring and evaluation visit was a crucial step in the University’s application for the issuance of Report on the Result of Preliminary Assessment (RRPA) or government authority to offer the MS Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Program. The University is committed to providing quality education and ensuring that its programs meet the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) standards.
The RQAT team was composed of Dr. Geronimo A. Buenavente, CHED Education Supervisor II and Dr. Gelyn L. Bongabong, while the Technical Committee from CHED Central Office was composed of Engr. Fernandita Calimlim and Ms Clarizze Angelu Aquino.
