The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation spearheaded an Orientation of Faculty with mandated functions for Research and Extension last September 11, 2023, at Ciriaco N. Divinagracia Hall, Research and Innovation Building.
Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez, Vice President for Research and Innovation, discussed and oriented the faculty of the demands on their academic rank and specific functions needed according to the existing policies and targets of the University. The program gave a wide range of research ideas to the faculty, including where to look for external funding and their involvement in various research centers.
Dr. Vladimir R. Foronda, Director of the Extension Services Division, encouraged the Professors and Associate Professors to become involved in extension programs and projects to utilize and elevate their involvement to generate technology and products that can help the community.
The said orientation was interactive and allowed the participants to ask open-ended questions for clarification about the policies and programs.
