Dr. Alberto M. Cabrera, the Program Chair of the College of Veterinary Medicine and the current Director of the Ethnoveterinary Applied Research and Development Center under the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation, was a Guest Lecturer in the International webinar Global Discourses in Ethnoveterinary Medicine: Back to Traditional Healing of Animals conducted virtually last November 23, 2022.
He shared his knowledge on the different procedures in making Ointments and Creams derived from plant-based extracts. Part of his lecture was the presentation of some Ethnoveterinary research outputs from the College of Veterinary Medicine in which the efficacy of ointments and creams has been the focus of the research problem. The event was participated by faculty, students, and other herbalists from different Veterinary Schools and neighboring ASEAN Veterinary Schools. Tarlac Agricultural University hosted the event in cooperation with other Veterinary Schools in the Philippines.
