Central Bicol State University of Agriculture participated in the DOST iStart Program for the Municipality of Pasacao at Surfers Paradise, Caranan, Pasacao, Camarines Sur on 26 February 2021.
This served as the 2nd meeting-workshop in the series of developmental meetings that will start the over all development of the Municipality through multi sectoral collaborations as it envisions Cityhood.
The CBSUA Team contributed ideas and suggestions to the economic development initiatives and in providing avenues for the possible development of the Municipality in terms of agriculture, commerce and trade, local enterprises, and tourism. The team likewise suggested to establish tourism circuit covering the ridge-to-reef features of Pasacao incorporating the technologies and researches of the University in terms of Agriculture, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Tourism.
The team composed of VPRI, Dr. Ramona Isabel Ramirez, Research Director, Dr. Aries Ativo, Extension Director, Prof. Vladimir Foronda, IPDO Director, Dr. Emerson L. Bergonio, CEM Faculty in AgriEcotourism, Prof. Mia Fresnido, and University Resilience Center Director, Prof. Philip Talay attended the worshop.
The team closely discussed the suggestions with the Pasacao DOT Representative and Tourism Consultant, Mr. Ninoy Reyes.
CBSUA continues to provide free techical expertise to surrounding municipalities in the province and in the region, in general.
