On August 16, 2022, the HRMDO and the OVPAF hosted a Pre-retirement Seminar and Thanksgiving Ceremony.
This program benefits teaching and non-teaching human resource professionals close to their retirement and transition period. In the pre-retirement seminar, the pre-retirees were given information about all the programs and benefits they must avail of even before retirement. The Thanksgiving Ceremony became an avenue to thank our pre-retirees and retirees for their dedication to the university as it forges toward becoming an agricultural research university of global standards in leading innovations, building resilient and sustainable communities, and delivering the best quality for the university’s stakeholders.
The event began with remarks from the Vice President of Administration and Finance, Atty. Dominador Faurillo, followed by a CBSUA Performing Arts Guild tribute song. Two resource persons were invited to the event. Ms. Resurreccion Bulaong, the Division Chief of GSIS Naga, discussed the “Republic Act No. 8291, Expanding and Increasing the Coverage Benefits of the GSIS, Instituting Reforms Therein and for Other Purposes” and “GSIS Retirement Benefits and Programs and their Computations.” Another resource person was from the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce, Inc., Ms. Maria Francia O. Casin, a member of the Board of Directors. Ms. Casin discussed “Financial Literacy and Management of Personal Finances.”
The activity ended with the celebration of the Mass, thanksgiving from the university, and testimonies from the retirees and pre-retirees.
