OCA, OSAS-GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING UNIT, PREFECT OF DISCIPLINE ORGANIZE ORIENTATION-SEMINAR FOR STUDENT DORMERS

To instill, build, and sustain a sense of community among the student dormers, the Office of the Campus Administrator, through the OSAS-Guidance and Counseling Unit and Prefect of Discipline held an orientation-seminar for student dormers on February 20, 2024, at the Alvaro Rabina Hall.

The students were oriented with the different dormitory rules and school policies, and safety protocols to abide by, as discussed by Mr. Drew Arellano, the Prefect of Discipline. A talk on Gender Sensitivity by Dr. Glenn E. Redecilla, Director of the Gender and Development Unit, was given after. Lastly, Ms. Leizle Manacob, the University Guidance Counselor, provided the students with an overview of the university’s counseling services. A needs assessment survey was also facilitated to further improve the resources of the dormitories.

The activity was participated in by all student dormers inside the campus. By encouraging students to connect with their peers, the activity aimed to establish a support network to positively impact their overall college experience.
