The LADAWAN Center has its goal of recognizing, protecting, and promoting Agta in Bicol. One way of carrying it out, is to conduct research. This activity served as an orientation for Faculty Researchers who would be committed to conduct Indigenous Peoples’ related research studies. The discussion was focused on research development and methodology conducted by Prof. Gloria B. Osea, the Center’s Consultant. Moreover, Dr. Jesusa B. Taumatorgo, the Center’s Director, emphasized the strict adherence to the NCIP Guidelines.
Highlight of the program was the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement among CBSUA LADAWAN Center for IPs, the Alpha Phi Omega (APO) Bicol Administrative Region (BAR), and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples V for Documentation and Research funding.

Ramirez, Extension Director, Prof. Vlademir Foronda, CBSUA LADAWAN Center Director, Dr. Jesusa B. Taumatorgo, NCIP V Technical Working Group headed by DMOV/TMSD Chief, Asuncion Rellon and the APO-BAR, represented by Deputy Regional Director, Elma Q. Villanueva, Section Chairperson for Camarines Sur, Jovita C. Lopez and Camarines Sur 2nd District Board Member, Hon. Apollo Manaog.
