The eight student delegates of the College of Development Education (CDE), together with the other two student delegates of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) who participated in the recent Academic Visit in Universitas Mataram (UNRAM), Indonesia as part of the International Credit Transfer Program, paid a courtesy visit to the University President on May 29, 2023.
In a bid to deepen educational cooperation between Indonesia and the Philippines, CBSUA sent a delegation led by the visiting lecturer, Dr. Darrel Ocampo, to UNRAM. The student delegates particularly immersed in the Teacher Education and Animal Husbandry programs of the partner university from April 26-May 22, 2023.
The academic collaboration and experiences between UNRAM and CBSUA were further discussed by the delegates.
“Our immersion with people of various racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds was made possible by our month-long stay at UNRAM. We were grateful for how the whole university accommodated us and went above and beyond to look after us. The community as a whole worked to deliver the greatest services UNRAM could muster, including the students, teachers, utilities, and the community.”, said Alyanna Mae Radores, BSEd 2A.
“This experience also assisted us to collaborate with SAE2P, the Student Association of English Program, and connect with them to our future activities.”, said Ivy Marie Nidea, BSEd 2A
“The university’s emphasis on interactive learning and practical application of knowledge greatly enhanced my understanding of the subjects.”, said Francis Gervin Rili.
“This academic collaboration between UNRAM served as a powerful reference to identify the best practices that can be adopted in the University and the community.”, said Dr. Naperi.
As CBSUA strives to increase professor and student international mobility, this activity advances the University’s mission of fostering international cooperation and academic progress to global standards.
