On December 6, 2023, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture underwent a Quality Management System 2nd  Surveillance Onsite Audit to assess the management system’s conformity for the maintenance of its existing certification.

An opening programme was held at the CBSUA Admin Building Board Room. The top management team including the Vice Presidents, Campus Administrators, Directors, and Unit Heads are present in the programme. In addition, other auditees who cannot be physically present attended virtually through the Zoom platform.

Dr. Rolando Oloteo, the Director of Quality Assurance welcomed everyone in his welcome speech. Subsequently, he introduced the Auditors coming from TÜV Rheinland who are Mr. Fronie Aligway, the Lead Auditor with Ms. Jogina Mendiola, Mr. John Francis Faustorilla, Jr., and Ms. Philura Hipe. Dr. Emerson Bergonio, the VP for Academic Affairs gave an opening remark. He stressed the importance of undergoing such audit which is for the continued render of quality service to the university’s various stakeholders. Dr. Allan Del Rosario, the Campus Administrator of the Pili Campus introduced to the body the auditees.

Mr. Fronie Aligway, discussed the audit process, scope of certification, audit objectives, and plan. After all have been tackled, the audit proper commenced. Two of the auditors, Ms. Mendiola and Ms. Hipe, proceeded to CBSUA Pasacao Campus, the other audit site.

After a day of the audit process, the audit0rs convened for the consolidation of the audit findings and preparation of the report. In the closing programme, Mr. Aligway disclosed the audit findings where he announced that CBSUA passed the QMS 2nd Surveillance Audit with no nonconformity.

The result of the audit is a revelation of how CBSUA keeps up with the standards set by the ISO. CBSUA pledges to continue to uphold quality in its management system.
