Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) conducted a collaboration meeting regarding the manifested intent of ASIST to adopt the CBSUA banner technology on September 16, 2022, via Zoom video conferencing.
The said partnership also explored the following areas of collaboration: a. Joint research collaboration on mutually agreed upon areas of study; b. Creating a program of exchange of their respective faculty members and students for instructional, research, and cultural purposes; c. Explore the potential of co-sponsoring national and or international conferences, research publication opportunities, and academic exchanges in areas of joint interests, the arrangements of which shall be subjected to terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon by the parties; d. Submit articles for potential publication to each partyβs academic journal following the specific guidelines stipulated in either partyβs publication policy, and that the publication fees be waived for either party to assist in the attainment of the requirement for external contributions to each partyβs journal; e. Exchange educational materials, research publications, and instructional information beneficial to both parties; f. Provide expertise in the areas of strength of each party, including others in areas such as Meliponiculture, agriculture, environmental science, plant science, and others that the expertise of all parties involved may cover; g. Share/disseminate technologies generated through research for the mutual benefit of all parties.
The presidents of the two institutions have agreed to schedule a CBSUA visit to ASIST for the MOU signing for the partnership to be finalized.
