In collaboration with the JCI Pili Isarog, JCI Alicia Pagay of Isabela, and JCI Cagayan de Oro, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-Regional Apiculture Center, conducted Phase II of its Beekeeping Training on January 27-28, 2024, at Sitio Apog, Brgy. Aroro, Goa, Camarines Sur.
This training is a follow-up on Phase I conducted on July 8-9, 2023 for then wild bee hunters, now beekeepers. The training focused on the actual conduct of environmentally friendly methods of harvesting honey which was demonstrated properly to the beekeepers. Stingless bee technology was introduced to the group and gained support from the partner stakeholders. The LGU Goa expressed its support for this endeavor with the conduct of another training seminar on stingless beekeeping scheduled on February 21, 2024.
