The Office of Student Affairs and Services-Guidance and Counseling Unit in partnership with ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (๐๐๐๐), ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ and the ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ, conducted ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง on January 26, 2022, at 9:00 AM.
The event was graced by Senator Risa Hontiveros, the author of the Mental Health Law and resource speakers, Dr. RJ Nagit, Youth for Mental Health Founder, and Ms. Alyannah Lagasca, National Chairperson of Youth for Mental Health.
The program started with a warm welcome from Dr. Alberto N. Naperi who emphasized the importance of the activity for the students of CBSUA most especially in these unprecedented times. Dr. Naperi also expressed his gratitude to Sen. Hontiveros for giving her time to discuss matters on Mental Health most especially to the students of CBSUA.
The activity was followed by a very informative panel discussion that focused on the importance of Mental Health, Self-care practices, School-based practices, and Community-based practices on Mental Health. Senator Risa Hontiveros also discussed how the Filipino youth became successful in passing the Mental Health law and the next steps to ensure that Filipinos are mentally healthy.
The activity successfully concluded with a closing message from Dr. Ana E. Mirana, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, who mentioned how the CBSUA continues to implement interventions and programs among students that place wellbeing at the forefront of student development services.
