CBSUA NSTP-LTS KINDLES LEADERSHIP SKILLS AMONG ITS STUDENTS

Encompassing the theme, “LEAD: Learning together, Empowering the community, and Aspiring progress towards the Development of Youth Volunteers for Nation-Building”, the LTS component of the NSTP spearheaded a team-building activity and a talk on the same topic with Mr. Luis Magdamit, Jr. as the speaker on March 19, 2023.
The event aimed to develop the participants’ leadership skills and empower them to make a positive impact in their communities. The guest speaker for the event was Mr. Luis Magdamit, the student regent of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture. Mr. Magdamit shared his insights and experiences as a student leader, inspiring the participants to become proactive and involved members of their communities. After the training seminar, the participants had a chance to unwind and have fun with various games such as Tug-of-war, Amazing Race, Message Relay, and Huni Ako. These activities allowed the students to work together as a team, building camaraderie and trust among themselves.
The event was facilitated by Ms. Christine Allen Riza N. Boncodin, LTS coordinator, and Diana Jane Barretto and Abigael Bobis, LTS Faculty members. Their expertise in facilitating team-building activities and their commitment to the development of the students were instrumental in making the event a success. The NSTP Director, Dr. Melchora V. Abonal, and the CWTS faculty were also present during the seminar, showing their support for the student participants and the importance of the event. The event culminated in the awarding of the winners and the distribution of certificates to all the participants. The certificates served as a reminder of the skills and knowledge gained during the event, and the commitment to continue developing as leaders and active members of their communities.
Overall, the team-building activity was a resounding success. The students left the event feeling inspired and motivated to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
