CBSUA, DepEd CamSur FORMALIZE PARTNERSHIP FOR RISE4MGT PROGRAMME IN MOA SIGNING

In a noble step to formalize the implementation of the Re-Invigorating Skills in Education for Multi-grade Teachers (RISE4MGT) Programme, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture secured a collaboration with the Department of Education Camarines Sur through a Memorandum of Agreement signing on February 2, 2024, at the Administrative Building Board Room.

The RISE4MGT Programme is intended to capacitate DepEd Multi-grade teachers along pedagogy, module development, learning management system development, innovation, and community engagement. With its promising

Prof. Mary Grace Polvoriza, CDE-Secondary Education Chairperson representing Dr. Melinda Pan, Dean of the same College, delivered her opening remarks. Dr. Cristopher Dacer provided the overview, rationale, and objectives of the activity. Prof. Ana Hugo then presented the participants and the salient points of the MOA.

As a sign of support for this endeavor, the Campus Administrator of the CBSUA Pili Campus, Dr. Allan Del Rosario, who represents the University President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, delivered a message which affirms CBSUA’s commitment to the success of the programme. This was seconded by the VP for Research and Innovations, Dr. Ramona Isabel Ramirez and praised multi-grade teachers in their pursuit of providing quality education despite the situation. In return, Atty. Salvador T. Pelingon, Program Coordinator for Multi-Grade Education, who represents Dr. Norma B. Samantela, CESO V, SDS of the SDO Camarines Sur, shared his personal accounts as a product of a multi-grade school and now someone who makes efforts to address this problem. He disclosed that 114 out of 895 elementary schools in Camarines Sur offer multi-grade education. For that reason, as he scanned over the documents, he was assured that the programme would yield good outcomes. Moreover, he expressed his full support for it.

Ending the program is a message from Dr. Cyril Salazar, Public School District Supervisor. “In DepEd, we are after so many innovations and interventions to deliver quality education. I thank CBSUA for extending your effort just to meet our purpose,” said Dr. Salazar.

In attendance also to the event are Prof. Abigail Guinoo who represents Dr. Vladimir Foronda, the Director for the Extension Services Division and Dr. Dennis Cedron, Principal II of Pili Central School.
