The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) recently conducted a cross-visit and benchmarking activity with several higher education institutions in Luzon on May 3-6, 2023, led by Dr. Emerson L. Bergonio, the IPDO Director, and several personnel from the offices of Institutional Planning and Development, Budget, and Physical Plant and Development Services.
CBSUA delegates had the opportunity to exchange best practices with some of the leading State Universities in the country namely, Batangas State University, Cavite State University, University of the Philippines Los Banos, and Benguet State University.
The knowledge-sharing among the Universities focused on its key administrative processes and operations such as Institutional Planning, Budgeting, Land Use Development and Infrastructure Planning (LUDIP), Project Planning and Design Management, Construction/Project Management, and Physical Resources and Facilities Management.
The CBSUA delegates had a chance to learn about the unique strategies employed by each of the visited institutions in these areas and share their own experiences and practices as well. By doing so, they were able to broaden their knowledge and gain new insights that can help improve the management practices on their own campuses.
The cross-visit and benchmarking activity allowed the CBSUA to establish and strengthen partnerships with the visited institutions. These partnerships can help foster collaboration in academic programs, research, and other areas that can benefit both the CBSUA and the visited institutions.
