On November 6-10, 2023, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture underwent a rigorous online accreditation process in its academic programs through the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

The programs accredited were as follows:
PILI CAMPUS
MS-Plant Science/Plant Protection/Animal Science Level 4 Phase 1, Revisit Areas III, IV, VI, and VII
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Level 3 Phase 1, Revisit Areas II, III, IV, V, VI, VIII, and IX
Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education Preliminary Survey Visit
PhD-Development Education Level 4 Phase 2, Revisit all Areas
Phd-Plant Science Level 4 Phase 2, Revisit all Areas
Bachelor of Agricultural Technology Level 3 Phase 2

CALABANGA CAMPUS
Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Level 3 Phase 2

SIPOCOT CAMPUS
Bachelor of Science in Criminology Level 3 Phase 2
Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education Preliminary Survey Visit

During the opening ceremony, the respective Deans of the programs for accreditation introduced the different members of the task forces. Subsequently, Dr. Rolando Oloteo, Director of the Quality Assurance Office, presented the panel of accreditors. Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, the Coordinator of the AACCUP accrediting team presented the statement of purpose. The attendees then proceeded to the Zoom breakout rooms, for the accreditation proper where they discussed with the task forces about the programs.

At the closing program of the five-day accreditation, the VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Emerson Bergonio, expressed his gratitude to the AACCUP accreditors and the task forces for showing their dedication and collective efforts contributing to the success of the accreditation. Dr. Riceli C. Mendoza, Coordinator of the AACCUP Team, disclosed to the CBSUA Team the Accreditor’s Impression and more importantly their recommendations for the programs that underwent accreditation. As a response to these challenges, the Campus Administrator of the Pili Campus, Dr. Alan Del Rosario also imparted a message. A closing remarks was delivered by the VP for Research and Innovations, Dr. Ramona Isabel Ramirez.

The success of the accreditation is a testament to the unparalleled dedication of the task forces shown in the preparation for the event. The feedback and recommendations received from the accreditors provide an opportunity for CBSUA to improve its services and adhere to the standards.
