CBSUA COMMENCES NATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH WITH KICK-OFF ACTIVITY

With the theme, “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas, Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan,” the Gender and Development Office of the Central Bicol State University held a kick-off program for the National Women’s Month on March 11, 2024 at the Alvaro Rabina Hall.

Atty. Faurillo, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, delivered his message of support and prompted a challenge to the GAD Office to continue to initiate programs and projects that will deliver tangible results.

Dr. Roda N. Imperial, the president of Zonta Club of Naga and Camarines Sur and the invited speaker for the said event, discussed women’s health focusing on pregnancy, birth control, and menopause.

The afternoon session featured a talk on gender sensitivity and women’s rights discussed by the Regional GAD Resource Center Director, Dr. Glenn Redecilla. This was then followed by a role-play competition which aimed to address gender issues that exist among the students and how they can address them.

A Women Entrepreneur’s Expo also opened on this day at the Administration building, which will last until the 15th.
