The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture Pili Campus held its 94th Commencement Exercises with the theme, “Harnessing the Future: Honoring Graduates’ Commitment to Food Security and Productivity,” on June 27, 2023, at the CBSUA Athletic Field with Atty. Alfredo A. Garbin, Jr., representing the guest speaker, Hon. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.
The downpour of rain did not stop the graduates from partaking in the long-awaited moment of their tertiary education. Parents and guardians proudly walked with the students during the processional.
Mr. Gailchezar A. Avila, the Class Valedictorian, inspired the graduating class 2023 with his words. He advised the graduates to find their purpose and always recognize one’s efforts and achievements.
Atty. Alfredo A. Garbin, Jr., the representative of the guest speaker, Hon. Ferdinand G. Romualdez, encouraged the graduates to continue their education and learning, for they have the most significant roles in building a prosperous nation. Atty. Garbin is a Member of the CBSUA Governing Board, House Committee on Higher and Technical Education, whereas Hon. Romualdez is a House Speaker, District Representative, Leyte First District, House of Representatives in Quezon City.
Ms. Noreen Grace Penetrate-Hayag, CSC HR Specialist II, gladly announced the awarding of CS Eligibility certificates to the honor graduates.
Diplomas were then distributed to the graduates. The batch president led the pledge of loyalty to the Alma Mater. This was followed by the induction of the graduates to the CBSUA Alumni Association, led by Hon. Cesar Armando Camba, Sr. President of the Alumni Foundation.
Ending the commencement exercises is the singing of the batch song and university hymn.
