CAS-SC, ESS SPEARHEAD SYMPOSIUM ON ECOLOGICAL STUDIES PROTOCOL, BASIC MOUNTAINEERING COURSE AND BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

The College of Arts and Sciences students participated in an three (3) days activity entitled “𝙎𝙮𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙪𝙢 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 and 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙈𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩,” and were spearheaded by the Environmental Science Society (ESS) together with the College of Arts and Sciences – Student Council (CAS-SC) and Society of Biology Students (SBS) last November 11, 12-13, 2022 at DNAS Quadrangle. The 𝘼𝙇𝙇𝙄𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙀 𝙊𝙁 𝙎𝙐𝙈𝘼𝙂𝘼𝙉𝙂 𝙊𝙐𝙏𝘿𝙊𝙊𝙍 𝙂𝙍𝙊𝙐𝙋 (𝘼𝙎𝙊𝙂) was the guest speakers and trainers who facilitated and discussed the trainings and concept of Basic Mountaineering Course and Basic Life Support.
This activity aims to learn the different protocols used in assessing in different ecosystems and Basic Mountaineering Course as they need to create an Environmental Assessment and Awareness. We believe that the students should be equipped with knowledge and skills and in need of training to use it on an actual situation.
