On October 28, 2021, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and DA-Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI RTC5) formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a research and extension project connected in Binhi ng Pag-Asa Program, which was conducted in 2017 and 2021 in the Bicol region.
Through the Binhi ng Pag-Asa Program, several youth participants were trained in agriculture, specifically in management, financial budget, and industry of their chosen project. The program also included leadership training to promote values formation, strengthen their leadership skills, and implant the importance of agriculture for the next generation. The DA-ATI provides the funding for the project. At the same time, the CBSUA is the implementing agency that will lead the intensive assessment of the Binhi ng Pag-Asa Program in region 5.
Present at the MOA signing is the CBSUA President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, Vice President for Research and Innovation, Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez, and the Extension Director, Dr. Vladimir R. Foronda. The DA-ATI RTC5 is represented by the Center Director, Ms. Elsa A. Parot, PMESU Head, Mr. Emmanual Orogo, and the Accounting Chief, Ms. Stella Haber.
