Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) made waves at the prestigious 2024 World University Ranking Conference held on September 23, 2024, in Seoul, South Korea. The university secured top rankings in various categories, highlighting its commitment to academic excellence and community impact.

The said conference brings together leading educational institutions from around the world to showcase innovative practices and recognize outstanding leaders. CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi was honored as an outstanding global leader for his significant contributions to the university’s growth and development.

CBSUA’s impressive performance at the conference included: 9th Place in Leadership category, 60th Place in Social responsibility category, and 66th Place in Student support category. Furthermore, the CBSUA delegation, led by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Emerson Bergonio, with its members: Dr. Chery Love Montales (Director for International Affairs), Dr. Jayson M. Danas (Director of Technology Commercialization and Promotions Division), Dr. Jesusa Taumotorgo (Director of the Center for Indigenous People), and Dr. Ilene Mirabeles (Director of CBSUA Vaccine Center) actively participated in the conference.

Faculty members presented three impactful projects such as the CBSUA Agriville and Learning Hub, which ranked 66th, focuses on innovation, technology promotion, and community transformation; the LADAWAN (IMAGE) which ranked 60th, aims to protect and promote the rights of Indigenous Peoples in the Bicol Region; and the WE Lead ranked 9th, demonstrates CBSUA’s leadership in various fields.
