The College of Engineering and Food Science (CEFS) envisions to be a center of academic and technical excellence in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and Food Science Technology in the Philippines and in the ASEAN Region. It commits to provide leadership in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and Food Science and Technology by upgrading continuously to adapt to the ever changing local and global trends and standards; producing graduates who are work-ready, life-ready, and world-ready; advocating gender; disaster risk management and climate change adaptation responsive curricula; and developing, implementing and delivering cutting-edge RDE programs.
The integration of the two departments namely the Department of Agricultural Engineering (DAEN) and Department of Food Science (DFS) in 2004 gave birth to a dynamic College of Engineering and Food Science (CEFS) which is managed by a College dean.
CEFS has two program offerings namely Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering (now BSABE) and the Bachelor of Science in Food Technology (BSFT), respectively. Each program is being managed by a department chairperson with whom the college dean has direct supervisory link. Issues and concerns pertinent to each program are cascaded from department chair to the concerned roster of faculty members.
For 17 years now, CEFS continues to strive for excellence along Instruction, research, extension and production functions.
