The launching of the Virtual Farm Academy (VFA) on October 18-21, 2019 was held at Phuket Rajabhat University. Dr. Helmi and Dr. Hidalgo presented the entire project to all participants. It was followed by a ceremonial MoU signing with Prof. Dr. Novizar Nazir being the head coordinator of the SAFE Network and Dr. Alberto Naperi who was represented by the former president and currently the Assistant to the President for Special Concerns, Dr. Georgina Bordado. The signing was witnessed by the CBSUA delegates and SAFE Network core group and country coordinators. After the signing, it was followed by the signing of the Letter of Intent by the representatives of 31 international institutions. After the signing, there were talks from invited speakers in the fields of energy, climate change and sustainable agriculture. In the parallel sessions, participants successfully presented their respective research papers in their respective theme assignments.
