Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) is a leading international agency that helps educational institutions fulfill their potentials through its various evaluation processes. Central Bicol State University of Agriculture subjects into the QS Stars Rating to improve its international recognition; and to highlight its excellent performances, program specialization, and strengths to the global arena. It will also identify areas of weaknesses of the university for improvement.
Generally, educational institutions are evaluated against 13 key categories with corresponding stars rating and overall rating between 0 and 5+ Stars. These categories include: Teaching, Employability, Internationalization, Research or Academic Development, Facilities, Online Learning, Subject Ranking or Program Strength, Innovation, Arts and Culture, Social Responsibility and Inclusiveness. There are thresholds and prerequisites needed to achieve together with the total points garnered to be awarded with the star badges. The preparations of CBSUA for the QS Stars Audit started on January 2021. The process evaluates the university in eight categories Teaching, Employability, Internationalization, Academic Development, Facilities, Program Strength, Social Responsibility and Inclusiveness. The QS Taskforce was then mobilized to work for the attainment of this goal.
