Research and Extension Council
University Research, Extension, Production and Entrepreneurial Development Council (now known as University Research and Extension Council)
The University Research, Extension, Production and Entrepreneurial Development Council shall be composed of the University President as Chairperson, the Vice President for Research, Extension, Production and Entrepreneurial Development, the Directors of Research, Extension, and Production, Deans, and Coordinators of all campuses as members.
The University Research, Extension, Production and Entrepreneurial Development Council (now known as University Research and Extension Council) shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
a. Determine, review and recommend to the University Administrative Council the policies, rules and regulations, and directions for the University research, extension production and entrepreneurial development;
b. Review and recommend research, extension, production
and entrepreneurial development proposals, and the findings and recommendations of faculty members and institutional researches and extension programs; and
c. Perform other duties and functions as the Board of Regents and the University President may assign.
The University Research, Extension, Production and Entrepreneurial Development Council shall hold at least one meeting every quarter. The time, date, and venue of the meeting shall be determined by the Chairperson and must be indicated in the notice to be disseminated among its members at least aday before the date of the meeting. A secretary shall be designated by the chairperson.
The University Research, Extension, Production and Entrepreneurial Development Council meeting shall be presided by the University President. In case of his/her absence or incapacity, the Vice President for Research, Extension, Production and Entrepreneurial Development shall preside. A majority of the members of the Council shall constitute a quorum.
