CBSUA DATA PRIVACY POLICY

                             The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture recognizes its responsibilities under the Republic Act No. 10173, also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012.  The personal data obtained from this portal are entered and stored within the University’s authorized information and communications system and will only be accessed by the authorized personnel from the Information and Communications Technology Office (ICTO).  The CBSUA has instituted appropriate organizational, technical, and physical security measures to ensure the protection of the VLP users’ personal data.

                                Furthermore, the information collected and stored in the portal shall only be used for the following purposes:

• • • • • • Registration to the Virtual Learning Portal under certain conditions as required by law.
          • Announcements/promotions of events, programs, courses and other activities offered/organized by the University.
          • Activities pertaining to establishing relations with faculty members and students.

                        Unless otherwise provided by law or by appropriate University policies, we will retain users’ relevant personal data for historical and statistical purposes.  If a retention period is provided by law and/or by a University policy, all affected records will be securely disposed of after such period.
