CBSUA Resilience Center (CRC) and the Environmental Science Department Faculty and students in Pili Campus in partnership with the Philippine Army and Brgy. San Jose, Pili Local Government Unit conducted the Linis Estero Program for the 1st Quarter on 27 February 2021.
As part of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Project in the Region, the Adopt-an-Estero Program, CBSUA’s Linis Estero Program became an advocacy of the CRC previously divided into two units, the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) and the Environmental Management Office (EMO) to continuously contribute and involve the faculty and students in efforts to support environmental programs. The University, San Jose Pili LGU, and Philippine Army have chosen to maintain the CBSUA-Camp Martillana Estero for the said program since 2014 through a Memorandum of Agreement.
Corporal Oliver D. Laput (CE) PA led the Philippine Army Team with coordination and support by the barangay LGU represented by Councilor “Ate Lala” Alamo. CRC Director, Prof. Philip Talay, Prof. Marilyn Siguenza, and Prof. Nasser Possada along with the EnviSci students composed CBSUA group.
