Central Bicol State University of Agriculture attended the DOST iSTART Convergence Meeting on 9 February 2021 at Surfers Paradise, Caranan, Pasacao, Camarines Sur.
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) iSTART program flashes “Bridging gaps, reducing inequalities,” where our university sees its relevance to its mission to building resilient and sustainable communities.
This convergence aims to put onboard the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in developing the province commencing in the municipality of Pasacao thru its Local Government Unit (LGU).
University President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi together with the Vice President for Research and Innovation, Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez, IPDO Director, Dr. Emerson L. Bergonio, Resilience Center Director, Prof. Philip Talay, and Pasacao Campus Administrator, Prof. Carlo M. Cornejo represented CBSUA. Pasacao Municipal Mayor, Hon. Niño A. Tayco, MPDC Head, Mr. Noel Julito T. Ciudadano, Planning Specialist, Mr. Romeo H. Oida, Jr., and the program staff of DOST iSTART.
CBSUA continues partnering with various agencies with similar vision if not initiating programs to attain its goals even during the pandemic.
