Regional Center for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (RCDRRM) & Climate Change Adaption(CCA) and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture in partnership with BFP Pili Station join the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month with the theme,“Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro Para sa Tunay na Pagbabago” at CBSUA Main Campus on 22-25 July 2019.
DRRM& CCA Director, Mr. Philip Talay leads the way in promoting the practice ofdisaster risk reduction activities to promote public awareness on importance ofDRRM that covers the four thematic areas namely: disaster prevention and mitigation, disaster preparedness, disaster response, and disaster rehabilitation and recovery. This activity looks forward on the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drills (NSED) which the CHED regularly endorses to HEIs. According to Mr. Talay, the general objective of the Fire and Earthquake Evacuation Drill activity is to promote awareness and design an activity that will be conducted quarterly as a regular disa
ster risk reduction activity of the university.
An orientation seminar on Fire and Earthquake Hazards and Evacuation was attended by the staff of different offices and building occupants of Admin, Cashier,Registrar, VPAA, OSAS, Accounting, Supply, PPD, CRD, Library, VPAF, Research Building, Training Center, Ecotel and Canteen, DNAS, Agrosoil, CANR (new building),CANR (Plant Science) on 22 July 2019 held at Camillo Guevarra Hall (Social Hall).
