The Central Bicol State University ofAgriculture through the College of Economics and Management (CEM) hosted a welcome program for five Japanese representatives from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)- Lequio Wings on 10 September 2019 at the CBSUA-Organic and Agriculture Development Program.
Lequio Wings is a Japan-Based Non-Profit Organization that contributes to the human and economic development by developing business involving human resources as well as building a network of cooperation overseas. JICA organizes an annual short course program on Agribusiness and Agritourism. This trains young leaders from developing countries like the Philippines to promote and sustain agriculture in the community as a viable industry.
Possible project collaboration with Universities in Okinawa, Japan and promotion and establishment of internal linkages and partnership with JICA through Lequio Wings for resource-knowledge-program sharing were few of the objectives of the said visit.
