Three esteemed faculty members from the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Pili Campus, Dr. Myra Luz Homillano, Dr. Ludivico Homillano, and Assoc. Prof. Mae Lustre, have been accepted as associate members of the prestigious National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP).
The three took their oath on November 25, 2024, during the Division VIII Scientific Session and Business Meeting, a significant milestone in their professional careers.
The NRCP, an attached agency of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), is the countryβs premier research institution that fosters multidisciplinary research and development.

Dr. Myra Luz Homillano and Dr. Ludivico Homillano have long been recognized for their pioneering work in their respective fields, contributing to the advancement of science education.
Associate Professor Mae Lustre, a PhD candidate in Agricultural Economics, is known for her studies on technology adoption, and rural development. Her research centered on agricultural productivity and farmer livelihoods in the Bicol Region. As associate members of the NRCP, they will gain access to collaborative opportunities, funding for innovative projects, and platforms to disseminate their findings to a wider audience.
