Twenty-Five scholars from Barangay Panoypoyna, Bula, Camarines Sur, graduated from Organic Agriculture Production NC II at Estada Integrated Farm on August 11, 2023. The said scholars were supported and supervised by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-Regional Training Center V for 33 days through the TESDA grants by Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA).
Mr. Francis Leo Loberanes, a faculty member from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, was a lead trainer on this OAP NC II. The University supports this community engagement through the Extension Services Division to ensure that the scholars’ competencies must achieve to produce organic farm products such as chicken and vegetables, including organic supplements such as fertilizer, concoctions, and extracts.ย
During the graduation ceremony, ESD Director Vladimir R. Foronda, Ph.D., imparted insight that CBSUA provides both formal education and a community school. He also wishes that the graduates be empowered after the training course, establish businesses, and adopt all knowledge they gain dailyโpractice their learnings in their backyard or farm.
Subsequently, after the graduation ceremony, the 25 scholars will take an assessment for their National Certificate II with TESDA Regional Training Center-Bicol to be scheduled soon.
