SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Goal 17 emphasizes strengthening global partnerships to achieve sustainable development, ensuring no one is left behind. It underscores the importance of cooperation among governments, the private sector, and civil society worldwide.

Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires a robust commitment to partnership and resource mobilization. However, many low- and middle-income countries face significant barriers, particularly with rising debt burdens exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation, and limited fiscal capacity, highlighting an urgent need for debt relief.

Though Official Development Assistance (ODA) reached new highs in 2022, much of the increase supported refugees and aid to Ukraine. For true progress, developed countries must meet their ODA commitments, and all stakeholders must mobilize additional resources to address global inequalities and achieve the SDGs by 2030.
