A delegation from the Camarines Norte State College Federation of Faculty Association, Inc. (CNSC FFAI) recently embarked on a benchlearning initiative at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA). The July 29, 2024 visit aimed to identify and learn from CBSUA’s exemplary practices in academic and administrative management.
The CNSC faculty sought to gain deeper insights into CBSUA’s merit promotion and designation processes, as well as its comprehensive faculty welfare and development programs. By understanding these systems, the visiting delegation hoped to identify potential areas for improvement at CNSC and develop strategies to enhance its own institutional performance.
CNSC FFAI President Prof. Rene N. Abrera expressed confidence that the said activity would yield valuable knowledge and inspire innovative approaches to address the challenges faced by CNSC.
Key CBSUA officials, including Dr. Emerson L. Bergonio (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo, CPA (Vice President for Admin and Finance), Dr. Allan Del Rosario (CBSUA Pili Campus Administrator), Ms. Anamarie A. Del Carmen (OIC-HRMDO), and Dr. Charlie P. Nacario (CBSUA Pili Faculty Union President), shared their expertise on various aspects of university management. The benchmarking discussions covered topics such as curriculum development, faculty development programs, research initiatives, administrative efficiency, and financial management.
Both institutions expressed their commitment to continued collaboration and knowledge sharing, recognizing the importance of higher education institutions working together to elevate the quality of education in the region.
