On May 31, 2024, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) NSTP-Pili ROTC Activated Unit underwent Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI), receiving a 94.85% rating from the evaluators.
The ceremony commenced with traditional honors, including a cross-sword ceremony honoring COL Noel A Cagasan GSC (INF) PA, the Chairman of RAATI 2024 and the notable team of evaluators, namely, LTC Alex B Botor GSC (RES), Vice Chairman, and members MAJ Christoper D Badong (INF) PA, 2LT Ronel Boy P Catalino (INF) PA, SSg Jackson C Ruiz (FS), 2LT Lucila A Peรฑaverde CE PA (RES), SSg Richard E Maigue (INF), CPL Janrick Vincent B Nicolas (INF) PA, and CPL Lawrence C Timbal (INF) PA.
The NSTP Director, LT Melchora V Abonal (RES) PN, COL Ferozaldo Paul T. Regencia INF GSC (RES) PA, University Commandant, and Ms. Christine Allen Riza N. Boncodin, the NSTP-Pili Campus Coordinator offered their remarks, emphasizing the importance of the occasion. The NSTP Campus Coordinator, Prof. Arlene J. Lagonoy, and ROTC Coordinator, Ms. Edalyn B. San Gabriel of the Calabanga campus also supported and was present during the activity.
The inspection covered various aspects, from administrative proficiency to tactical competence. Cadets demonstrated their skills in military courtesy, assembly and disassembly of firearms, map reading, and specific use tasks simulating real-world military scenarios. CBSUA received high scores across multiple categories, reflecting the program’s effectiveness in training future leaders.
Beyond drill routines, the inspection delved into the administrative core of the NSTP program. Evaluators meticulously reviewed records, training aids, and program documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability. Cadet organizations were also assessed, focusing on leadership roles and responsibilities.
The ceremony concluded with the announcement of CBSUA’s overall grade of 94.85%, a testament to the program’s commitment to excellence. The event underscored the importance of discipline, teamwork, and dedication to the NSTP’s mission.
The success of CBSUA in the RAATI reflects the university’s unwavering support for its ROTC program and the dedication of its cadets.
