The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation recently organized its inaugural training series titled “CBSUA Agri-Technologies to Strengthen Capacity of Cacao & Pili Growers of Bulan, Sorsogon City” held on May 25-27, 2023, in Bulan, Sorsogon City, with the Cacao and Pili Growers Association of Sorsogon Inc. (CAPIGASI) as the beneficiaries.
The primary focus of the training program was Mushroom Cultivation and Production Using Agricultural Wastes. The event featured Mr. Mc Wilson O. Decena, an esteemed expert in Mushroom Cultivation and Production from the Taro Center. The objective of this comprehensive training was to impart knowledge and practical skills in mushroom cultivation techniques, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. The participants were provided with a balanced blend of theoretical sessions and hands-on experience, ensuring they gained a solid understanding of the subject matter.
