The National Apiculture Research Training And Development Institute (NARTDI) of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) conducted a benchmarking activity at the CBSUA-Regional Apiculture Center (RAC) and its partners and signed a renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement between the two universities on March 7-10, 2023.
A welcome programme was held at the Regional Apiculture Center. Prof. Lilia Pasiona, Director of RAC, warmly welcomed the visitors to the center with her opening remarks. Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, the university president expressed his gratitude to NARTDI for choosing CBSUA for their benchmarking activity and looked forward to more collaborative activities between the two parties. Moreover, Dr. Ramona Isabel Ramirez, VP for Research and Innovations, seconded Dr. Naperi’s message.
The two universities have a long partnership history to intensify the country’s apiculture industry. As the industry becomes more active, the need to be at par with the industry players arises. The benchmarking activity became a venue for sharing the university’s best management practices, technology, and other research and extension-related activities to NARTDI. Thus, the benchmarking activity capacitated NARTDI’s new researchers and extension workers with new knowledge they can utilize in their institute.
