Through the assistance of Hon. Jose “Bong” Teves, Jr., from the TGP Partylist, and leadership of President Alberto Naperi, the Evacuation Center under the supervision of the Resilience Center Director, Dr. Philip Talay, was inaugurated on November 18, 2022.
The said project was in partnership as well with the Department of Public Works and Highways. Engr. Sean Serrano, the Project Engineer II of the DPWH, mentioned that it only took them six months to construct the said building and that they look forward to more sites in the university being built. President Naperi was most grateful to Hon. Teves in his message. He emphasized that he envisions strengthening more collaborations with Hon. Teves and his partylist.
The event was also attended by the Regional Executive Director of the Department of Agriculture RV, Hon. Rodel P. Tornilla, and other administrators in the University. The blessing of the said building was led by Rev. Fr. Rolando Canonce, the University Chaplain.
