The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) granted the BS Biology Program of the College of Arts and Sciences of the CBSUA Pili Campus Level II Reaccredited Status which shall be effective from August 1, 2022, until July 31, 2026.
This is the result of the 2nd Survey Visit conducted by the AACCUP on July 18 to July 22, 2022, via virtual mode. The BS Biology program was evaluated in the 10 critical areas: I. VMGO, II. Faculty, III. Curriculum and Instruction, IV. Support to Students, V. Research, VI. Extension, and Community Involvement, VII. Library, VIII. Physical Plant and Facilities, IX. Laboratories, and X. Administration. The process ensured that the quality of the BS Biology program adheres to the highest standards of excellence set by the AACCUP. The Accreditation team was headed by Dr. Maribel S. Tizo of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines and who evaluated Areas II, III, V, and VI. She was joined by Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College, who looked into Areas IV, VIII, and IX while Prof. Ma Nina Grace C. Pastorfide of Laguna State Polytechnic University took care of Areas I, VII, and X.
The College of Arts and Sciences Accreditation Task Force, in charge of consolidating document requirements and other pertinent pieces of evidence, was headed by Asso. Prof. Jeniffer Francisco, Dean and Program Leader. Faculty members of the BS Biology program and selected faculty members from the other departments of the College comprised the rest of the team.
