Neo Normal Agventure (NNA) extended its project: Chicken Farming from the On-the-Job trainees to faculty on 10 May 2021.
University President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, congratulated the Calabanga Campus for continuing the Neo Normal Agventure initiatives in providing support to the students and their families as well as the faculty through their programs.
Chicken Farming was a project integrating the concepts of farming and food security in the curriculum implementation. With the pandemic, the training of students was hindered because of the need to observe health and safety protocols. Called upon by the need, the College of Arts and Sciences thru the Dean, Dr. Dariel Palmiano, and Chairpersons, Engr. Nilo Gonzaga (BSM) and Prof. Mariss Encinares (ABEL) along with other Calabanga Campus faculty and staff and the Administrator, Dr. Cornelio Funtanar, engaged in developing programs in support to the attainment of most essential learning competencies of the curricular programs and in serving the communities.
President Naperi expressed his gratitude to the stakeholders like TESDA, ATI and DA as the program becomes an avenue of more collaborations geared to fulfilling the University’s mission of building sustainable communities.
The Neo Normal Agventure aims to implement across campuses the programs which began in Calabanga Campus. These shall not only help in food security but also would enable everyone to instigate the value of agriculture in the academe.
