𝐑𝐐𝐀𝐓 π„π—π€πŒπˆππ„π’ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 ππ‘πŽππŽπ’π„πƒ 𝐏𝐇𝐃 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐃 ππ‘πŽπ†π‘π€πŒ 𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐀

The CHED Technical Committee and Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) evaluators jointly assessed the compliance of Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education program on June 6, 2024 at the CND Hall, CBSUA-Pili.

Dr. Allen U. Bautista, member of the Technical Panel for Education, recommended changing the nature to Doctor of Development Education being more aligned as a professional track. This suggestion was confirmed by Dr. Melinda Pan, committee head for the curriculum revision, as already part of their proposal for PhD DEVED curriculum revision.

Dr. Nora A. Licup, RQAT Member of CHED Region V, shared key points and recommendations necessary for the program’s application for a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC). Also present at the onsite validation, Dr. Michael B. Bibon, Education Supervisor II, Dr. Claribelle C. Haber, Dean of the Graduate School, with the support of the Office of the University President, Dr. Alberto L. Naperi, VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Emerson L. Bergonio, and the reliable faculty and staff of the CBSUA Graduate School.

The rigorous assessment was also guided by Dr. Danilo K Villena, member of the Technical Panel for Education, Dr. Ericson Reyes and Dr. Ana Biglete, CHED-OPSD.

The evaluators also assessed other aspects of the program such as the faculty, administration, library, instructional methodology, and student requirements. The thorough evaluation sought to ensure the quality and compliance with CHED’s requirements as CBSUA continues to be a Center of Development for Education.
