VIVES INTERNSHIP CULMINATES IN HEARTFELT CLOSING CEREMONY AT CBSUA

A warm and reflective closing ceremony was held on April 21, 2025, marking the official end of the 10-week internship program of Jana Dewilde, a student of VIVES University of Applied Sciences.

The event opened with inspiring remarks from Dr. Marie Rachelle Jane C. Mangading, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Mangading welcomed attendees and expressed her gratitude for the continued partnership between CBSUA and VIVES University of Applied Sciences in Belgium, emphasizing the importance of global collaboration in academic and professional development.

Following her was Dr. Cherry Love B. Montales, Director of the International Relations Office, who highlighted the enriching cultural and educational exchange that the internship program fosters, not only for the visiting interns but also for the host institution.

Intern Jana Dewilde then took the stage to present a brief overview of her experience throughout the 10-week internship. She shared her journey of learning, professional growth, and cultural immersion. In her presentation, Jana expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the program. “It’s been an incredible experience. I’ve learned so much — not just about veterinary practices and agricultural technologies, but also about the warmth and hospitality of the Filipino people,” she said.

To formally close the event, Dr. Vladimir R. Foronda delivered the closing remarks, commending Jana for her dedication and professionalism, and affirming CBSUA’s commitment to strengthening international academic partnerships in the years to come.

The event concluded on a positive note, celebrating the success of the internship and the bonds formed between institutions, professionals, and cultures.
